Hack Brief: Possible Breach of CVS and WalMart Canada Customer Data

CVS pharmacies in the US and Walmart Canada have halted their online photo-processing following information that the third-party company that operates this service may have been breached, possibly compromising the credit card numbers of millions of customers.

PNI Digital Media of Vancouver hosts the photo-processing web sites for CVS, Walmart, and Costco. It is owned by Staples, which was the target of its own major hack last year.
