Facebook and Time Warner launched the ‘Stop Bullying: Speak Up Social Pledge App‘ today. Both students and adults can take the pledge, so everyone can get involved and do their part to help stop bullying.

Not only can you take THE PLEDGE, but the following resources are available on the Facebook page:

  • The ‘Take Action’ tab contains a list of supporters, partner resources and an “I Spoke UP” gallery where people can upload videos & photos.
  • You can ‘Explore the Map’ to see a graphical representation of where the pledges are coming from. (users can optionally enter their zip code at the time of taking the pledge)
  • There is also a tab  where you can search for ‘Bullying Prevention Groups’ or start one of your own.
  • You can get a badge to display on your Facebook Wall stating that you took the pledge, and widgets are available for websites wanting to help further the cause of the promotion.

So far, almost 2,000 people have taken the pledge.
