LookMyPC or InfectMyPC?

For those, who remember my article about the “immortal” virus: here’s a proof. LookMyPC is a software for remote support and similar tasks. It has an official web page with downloads, which is unfortunately a place, where you can meet Win32:Parite virus.

Parite is still with us

Another legit randez-vouz point is WinCare site. It is even worse than the case above, because WinCare is supposed to keep your PC free from malicious stuff. But what is really delivered to your PC?

Hello Parite, how r u? :-)

This leads me to a question – how can such infection vanish, when software developers aren’t able to scan their binaries before putting them to a legit download site?
