Description:
In this exciting role you will work as part of the SophosLabs team, protecting businesses from known and emerging malware- viruses, rootkits and spyware- and other computer threats like phishing, spam and scams.

You’ll analyse viruses, spam campaigns and other threats as you reverse engineer files provided to Sophos for research. You’ll write identities for immediate inclusion in Sophos products, providing immediate protection to our customers. You’ll have a passion for computer security and will enjoy solving problems of a complex nature.

Your ability to conduct work of an investigative nature and your attention to detail in your work will mean that you will enjoy the challenge that this role presents.

SophosLabs provides 24/7 global protection to our customers, and you will therefore be required to participate in out-of-hours and weekend working.


Required skills:
Use of IDA, de-bugging, Network sniffing or penetration testing tools

Delivering computer security solutions in a commercial environment

Configuration of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems

Use of command line applications

Writing code

Reverse Engineering of computer threats

Strong and demonstrable interest in Computer Security

Desired skills:
Assembler (8086)
