Why it’s a Scam:

Clicking the wall post link takes you to the following page designed to look like YouTube:

Clicking “Play” loads the following bogus verification screen. Never copy and paste code directly into your browser. You bypass basic security protocols, and you could easily end up with a virus or other malware on your system.

If you copy and paste the generated code and press play, the following survey scam loads:

How to Deal with the Scam:

If you did make the mistake of copying and pasting the code, then you could be spamming the message to your friends. Clean up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the scam. (click the “x” in the top right hand corner of the post).
