Google Chrome LogoGoogle just updated the Chrome web browser to version 11.0.696.68. The new release fixes at least two security vulnerabilities. The article from the Google Chrome Release Blog with details about the changes disappeared again unfortunately. Additionally, the integrated Flash Player has been updated to version 10.3. Whether this fixes the vulnerabilities the security service provider Vupen abused to bypass the browser’s sandbox is currently unknown.

Adobe Flash Player LogoThe Flash Player update to version 10.3.181.14 is not only available in Chrome, but for all supported platforms – even for the Android smartphone operating system. Adobe fixes some security vulnerabilties with this release, too, which can be abused to infect computers with Trojans for example. It can be downloaded from the Adobe Flash Player Download Center. Users should pay the version check web site from Adobe a visit to verify they have the latest version installed.
