VISA and Mastercard Scam – Beware

This morning, I want to alert you to another scam that I was just alerted. This one involves Visa and MasterCard credit cards.

The fake mail having a panic subject line: Important Notice to all Debit Card Users. It has attached html file. The mail instructs the users to download the attached file and fill it up, which is for the security updates for ones account.

The download file once executed looks like below:

It is just a replica of the original page, which is getting executed from your machine. As soon as you click on “Update your Account”. It will take you to the below phishing link having online forms to fill.

After clicking on complete tab, it will prompt you as below:

If you click on OK tab on this prompt, it will take you to the genuine website of VISA.

So that users might feel that everything is fine. But actually all the confidential data of the user get transferred to the attacker.
