Description:
Based in Houston, TX, Alert Logic is seeking to hire a strong Windows Desktop Support Professional to provide technical support and maintenance of our internal systems.

Our on-demand platform utilizes software-as-a-service (SaaS) to enable our customers the easiest way to secure their networks and comply with policies and regulations.

The Windows Desktop Support Professional is responsible for the administration and support of all internal Alert Logic desktop infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Setup and manage a multi-site replicated Active Directory

Manage Hosted Exchange

Administer and maintain Windows based file servers, DNS and DHCP servers

Troubleshoot Linux OS

Maintain and update trouble ticket system with all activities

Install, troubleshoot, build and configure workstations for employees

Office desktop user support and troubleshooting

Document any and all new or current projects you work on

Manage biometric and video security systems

Be responsible for all asset tracking, inventory and procurement of internal office equipment

Set up and support Cisco VoIP phones


Required skills:
5-7 years of experience doing desktop support and Windows Server administration

Active Directory

Support and administration of a hosted Exchange environment

Prior imaging experience

Ability to set up, maintain and troubleshoot VoIP phones (preferably Cisco)

Knowledge of wireless networks

Prior experience supporting and troubleshooting biometric security systems

Experience using ticketing systems

Inventory and Asset Management

Working knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment or independently

The initiative and responsibility to take care of tasks and issues as they arise

Good administrative and organizational skills for documentation and project management

Cisco IOS experience and familiarity with SSH/SSL required

Desired skills:
Linux and OSX experience

LDAP administration

General knowledge of Information Security
