A network of hijacked computers that was believed to be offline has resumed spamming its victims with ransomware.

Traffic on the Necurs network of computers appeared to stop on June 1. The network was the backbone of a ransomware known as Locky, which blocks access to computers or data until people pay hackers a ransom.
