6 Minutes That Could Change Your Security Start-up’s Life

On May 19th SecurityWeek’s Suits and Spooks Security Start-up Speed Lunch will give each founder of up to 20 cyber security start-ups an opportunity to spend 6 minutes with decision-makers from the defense and financial services sectors and venture investors.

What is it?

Our goal for this inaugural event is to connect the most promising security startups in the world with decision-makers at aerospace, asset-management, banking, communications, defense, energy, healthcare, government, technology and transportation sector companies in a novel way: the speed lunch. You’ll have 6 minutes to pitch your product to a Director or higher-level executive at a private table in an exclusive setting.

Where is it?

We’re hosting this luncheon in the library of Soho House New York; a distinctive private club in Chelsea, just a few steps away from Google, Palantir, and other technology innovators.

Who’s invited? You are invited if…

1. You are employed at the Director level or higher with a medium-sized or larger corporation.

2. You’re employed with a cyber security start-up that is no more than 5 years old and has not yet raised more than a Series A funding round.

3. You’re employed by a Venture Capital firm or an investment bank.

If you qualify and want to attend this exclusive event, please complete the registration form ASAP. Seats are extremely limited.

Who Will I Meet There?

Here are just a few of the decision-makers from the defense and financial services sectors who will be participating in our speed lunch.

• Dan Geer, the CISO of In-Q-Tel

• Christopher Michael, Cybersecurity Deputy and Director of Security Engineering for BAE

• Edward V. Marshall, a Vice President of Credit Suisse

• Phil Rosenberg, a Director of Deloitte Financial Services,

• Nicholas Brookes, Director, Deputy Global Head Financial Intelligence Unit at Credit Suisse

• Edward V. Marshall – Credit Suisse, VP

• Niloofar Howe – Paladin Capital, Operating Partner/Managing Director

We only have room for a few more Security Start-ups and we expect to close our New York event very soon. We still can accept VCs and corporate executives, and we have limited opportunities for sponsors.

The good news is that we are looking at holding similar events in San Francisco, San Antonio, and Washington DC this year so if you can’t get in for New York, you’ll have other opportunities in the coming months.
