Credit Card Data of Hundreds of People Attending Boston Conventions Misused

At least 300 people who attended a couple of meetings at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center earlier this year reported that their credit card information was stolen and abused to make fraudulent purchases.

According to the Boston Globe, the victims are among the 13,000 who took part in an American Public Health Association convention in early November, and among 8,000 American Society of Human Genetics conference attendees.
