The protection measures for a database used for serving the public website of the European Central Bank (ECB) have been bypassed, the intruder(s) stealing contact information of individuals registered for different events.The announcement, which has come out today, informs that the intruders have contacted the ECB officials and demanded a ransom in exchange for the data.
