Kaspersky Publishes Spam Report for October 2013

IT security giant Kaspersky has released its spam report for October 2013. According to the company, the percentage of spam in email traffic increased by 6.6%.

This isnt really surprising considering that holidays such as Halloween always represent a good opportunity for spammers. In addition, Christmas-themed spam has also started making the rounds.

Scammers leveraged the conflict in Syria in an effort to trick unsuspecting users into sending them money.
