GENEVA – Fugitive US intelligence agent Edward Snowden deserves shielding from prosecution for having thrown the spotlight on state snooping, UN human rights chief Navi Pillay said Wednesday. “Those who disclose human rights violations should be protected. We need them,” Pillay told reporters.
