Can Intel’s new technology make sense of gesture control computers?

However, recent gesture recognition systems, from Leap Motion to Microsoft Kinect, have all failed to live up to the hype. Will Intels Real Sense system be any different? The company seems to think so and the technology was one of the highlights of CEO Brian Krzanichs keynote address at the 2014 International CES on Monday night. Promising to bring human-like senses to devices running Intel processors, RealSense uses a 3D and 2D camera to see depth in the same way as the human eye.
