‘Donnie Darko’ gets the 8-bit Cinema treatment

Even as a two-dimensional character, Frank the rabbit remains an unsettling sight. CineFix pays tribute to cult classic Donnie Darko in the latest installment of 8-bit Cinema. Drawing inspiration from 80s Japanese role playing games, the three-minute-long clip highlights some of the movies most iconic moments, including the protagonists first fateful meeting with Frank and the burning of Jim Cunninghams home. Watch out for a glimpse of 8-bit Cinemas reinterpretation of The Shining during a vignette at the movies, and the fantastic chiptune rendition of Mad World towards the end.
