Futurama’s intro rendered in 3D is gorgeous

Stop wondering what Futuramas intro would look like if it were rendered in 3D and prettied up ten quadrillion percent: its here. Well, part of it is anyway, care of Russian animator Alexey Zakharov. He took the spaceship intro to Futurama, references to Moms Old-Fashioned Robot Oil and all, and applied a suite of computer animation tools (3ds Max, Nuke, Photoshop, After Effects).
