Glenn Brown turns famous science fiction book covers into painted masterpieces

Glenn Brown has turned some of your favorite book covers into re-appropriated paintings. In 1996, he painted Ornamental Despair (Painting for Ian Curtis), which is the spitting image of famed artist Chris Foss cover for Isaac Asimovs The Stars Like Dust. In 2000, he painted The Loves of Shepherds, a near copy of artist Anthony Roberts cover for Robert Heinleins Double Star. And then theres Bocklins Tomb, Browns reimagining of Chris Foss Floating Cities. The paintings have sold for millions, io9 reports.
