Google engineer shows off Android Wear smartwatch notifications for the first time

Google sat back for a short while and watched companies like Sony, Motorola and Samsung launch Android-based smartwatches that reminded us a lot of early Android tablets — they were half-baked and rushed to market. Then, Google decided to take matters into its own hands and build a special version of Android designed specifically for wearable devices. Android Wear already looks promising, thanks mostly to the gorgeous Moto 360 smartwatch set to launch in the coming months.
