Hackers stole Kickstarter user data, but payment info was left untouched

In a blog post this afternoon, CEO Yancey Strickler said hackers gained access to some of Kickstarters customer data last week. The co-founder of the crowdfunding outfit went on to say that the breach was closed immediately and security measures were boosted system wide. As of now, no credit card info was nabbed by the infiltrators — only usernames, email and mailing addresses, phone numbers and encrypted passwords.
