Nokia and Android. Android and Nokia. Smartphone enthusiasts have wondered for quite some time what Android would be like on one of Nokia’s signature handsets. While most were likely hoping for Android on a high-end Nokia phone, the mystery will soon be over. We’ll never know what Nokia’s current situation would be if Samsung hadn’t scared Nokia CEO Stephen Elop away from Android. But now, for the first time ever, we’ll at least know what an Android phone from Nokia is like. About a month ahead of a deal that will see Nokia hand control of its smartphone business over to Microsoft, the company reportedly plans to unveil the “Nokia X,” an Android-powered smartphone aimed at emerging markets.
