Mac Pro teardown reveals simple repair process and upgradeable CPU

The new Mac Pros highly customized design may look like its a pain to fix, but dont be fooled — its friendlier than you think. An iFixit teardown of the workstation has revealed that its easy to take apart, and that several components can be replaced without going through Apple. Its also more upgradeable than youd expect. iFixit has confirmed OWCs discovery that the Xeon processor is replaceable, saving buyers over $1,000 if they splurge on a 12-core chip.
