Samsung Considers Buying the Company that Powers Siri’s Voice Recognition

Samsung has been exploring an acquisition of Nuance Communications, the back end provider for Siris speech recognition system. Nuance also makes Dragon speech recognition software, that can be found on many other devices. Samsung is up against other potential buyers, including venture capital groups, though it appears talks are still in the early stages. While potential prices have not yet been publicly disclosed, Nuance did close higher on Monday evening, at $18.76 per share.
