US will file criminal charges against Chinese army hackers for stealing trade secrets

The US will announce criminal charges against China today for using hackers to steal secrets from American companies, according to multiple reports. Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to announce the official charges against hackers in the Peoples Liberation Army at a press conference at 10AM, along with a list of US companies that have had trade secrets stolen. It will be the first time the US has charged a nation for economic espionage, but the indictment seems to have been in the works for a long time. In addition to bolstering foreign companies with valuable US technology and business secrets, the knowledge could allow enemies to build better weapons and plan attacks on critical US infrastructure.
