Verizon’s HD Voice service will come with video calling when it launches nationwide this year

Verizon and ATT, the two largest mobile operators in the US, have spent the last couple years in a race to deploy next-generation voice technology known as Voice over LTE (VoLTE). With its announcement last week, ATT was the first to deploy the fast-speed VoIP network, but dont count Verizon out of the race quite just yet: executives explained to us today that its still on track for nationwide deployment sometime this year.
