Star Trek star turned social-media phenomenon and LGBT rights activist George Takei has maintained a large and growing fan base throughout his career, and so it should be of little surprise that hes become the subject of an upcoming documentary. Titled To Be Takei, the film follows Takei from his time spent as a child in a World War II internment camp to marrying his husband and becoming a mainstay in the Facebook feeds of millions. The documentary premiered over the winter at Sundance, and its scheduled to hit theaters on August 22nd.
