Watch this Japanese musician perform a piano battle against his own hologram

Holograms hit the mainstream in a big way back in 2012, when holograms of deceased rappers Tupac and Nate Dogg took the stage alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg at the Coachella festival. Japanese composer Yoshiki used the technology in a rather unconventional way back at SXSW this year, however — rather than performing with another musician, Yoshiki performed a piano battle against himself. If you werent there in person to see it, Yoshiki just released a two-minute teaser of his SXSW performance on YouTube — if youre into music or holograms, its definitely worth a look.
