Yesterday (evening US time), the Politics Twitter account of FoxNews has been hacked and the fraudsters have started to publish fake messages about US President Obama’s death.
According to posts, the president was supposly shot and his place has been (already) taken by the vicepresident Joe Biden.
The hacker wrote just after starting these messages: “Just regained full access to our Twitter and email. Happy 4th”. So, I guess that we should expect some interesting news in the next few days, considering the fact that also the email account has been hacked.
Even eight hours after the account has been taken, the posts aren’t deleted and apparently nobody is there to monitor this. Many users are writing and retweeting the messages with very upset comments directed to the well known news channel.
Fortunately, the entire USA is celebrating today the Independence Day and not many people will stay on Twitter to read this nonsense. Let’ s hope that the tweets will be erased soon.
