Description:
Norman is looking for software developers that are skilled in building and tuning systems with stringent performance characteristics. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in automated malware analysis. If you want to work in a fast paced environment, building state-of-the-art analysis systems, then we are interested in talking with you. Our team consists of smart, dedicated engineers who love to program and solve some of the toughest problems in the industry.

The Core Systems team is responsible for a server park of around 150 Windows and Linux servers. While Norman’s IT-department is involved in maintaining these systems, candidates for this position will be responsible for optimization, configuration and planning of future expansions.

Qualified candidates will work in the Core Systems Team which designs, develops and maintains Norman’s internal analysis platform.? Candidates will work closely with the Engine Development Team and Malware Analysis Team.

Responsibilities also include maintenance and optimization of our MySQL and storage servers, candidates must be prepared to use available time on development projects using either PHP or C.

The ideal candidate must excel in team environments and be extremely prolific, i.e. one who regularly produces high quality solutions in less time than his or her colleagues.

Required skills:
– Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent work experience)

– System administration of both Windows and Linux servers

– MySQL DBA experience – High availability and large datasets.

– Proficient developing in PHP, Python or C

– Strong technical interest

– Motivated for professional development

– Positive “can do”-attitude
