Description: Avira GmbH is expanding and developing nationally and internationally. In order to expand our team we are looking to immediately fill the position of Developer (m/f) Backend Services Position summary: * As a member of an agile team, you will assume responsibility for the management, maintenance and further development of a Python based web application that manages and controls a distributed system for malware detection. * You will create and extend cross-platform tools in languages like Python, C or C++ connecting this or similar systems to internal processes and our online solutions. You will react to and resolve issues arising during live operation, and work closely together with members of the teams using your tools. Performance objectives: * Starting from day one you will be part of an international team whose objective is to keep millions of Avira customers safe and free from malicious software. Your work ethics justify the trust our customers put into our products and services. * You will be challenged to work in a team which is highly collaborative, and to implement fast, secure and high quality code. Furthermore, you have the ability to be solution focused, identify problems and solve them by taking the right decision. * You have solid development skills in different languages like Python, C or C++ as well as a good understanding of agile development processes and object-oriented software design. * You are feeling at home with distributed, database-driven web applications and different operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
