Facebook Profile Viewer Shenanigans

Beautiful word, “shenanigans”.

It seems we just can’t get enough of profile trackers / stalkers / watchers, and this was bouncing around over the weekend in the form of “Profile Viewers” posted to Facebook walls:

Visiting the supplied link takes the user to the following application:

If the end-user allows the install, they’ll end up tagging their friends in a spam image related to the application:

The process then starts all over again, just like in that Elton John song about circles and lions. Meanwhile, the end-user will be taken to a fake Facebook style message over a pretend “profile viewer” background:

This is, of course, a survey which will generate cash for the affiliate every time a user fills one in. Give it a wide berth, and advise any friends you see with “Profile Viewer” installed to visit their applications page and delete the shenanigan shaking culprit.
