Catalan football club FC Barcelona confirmed their Twitter account was hacked Wednesday morning, following a tweet announcing the fictitious signing of player Angel Di Maria from Paris Saint-Germain.
The attack happened right after on Tuesday FC Barcelona announced their plans to sue former player Neymar. The Brazilian allegedly failed to complete his contract and is sued for €8.5 million he received only nine months before moving to PSG. This represents the renewal bonus for the five-year deal, plus an extra 10 percent for delayed payment.
