Why it’s a Scam:
Once you click on the Wall Post link, you are taken to a page hosted on blogspot[dot]com. This should be your first clue that you are dealing with a scam. Many scammers use this site to host and spread their scam messages. Here you will see the typical routine of the scam creator requiring you to “Like” the page and “Share” their spam message with your friends. After you complete those actions, you are asked to click the button shown below:
Clicking this button loads the following survey scam:
Always be wary of Facebook offers that promise FREE credits and items. If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.
How to Deal with the Scam:
If you did make the mistake of following the scammer’s instructions by liking the page and sharing their message, then you should clean-up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the application (click the “x” in the top right hand corner of the post).
If you made the mistake of submitting your cell phone number for any of the surveys, then you should contact your carrier immediately to keep any bogus charges from appearing.
