Description: We are looking now for a junior developer to strengthen our agile team, developing and extending the capability of our spam filtering products which are capable of providing robust email protection to our significant user base on various platforms, including Windows, Linux and Mac. This role provides the opportunity to work in an open and collaborative environment as part of our core products team. The team is focused on developing our Anti-Virus products, adding new features and supporting new platforms, at the cutting edge of development. To succeed in this role you’ll be passionate about Linux/UNIX development, and keen on to use your excellent programming and designing skills to help the team being successful. You’ll feel at home within an Agile team with its open communications, commitment to quality and focus on getting things “done, done”. Main duties . Write code (Test or Product) to deliver against project timescales, quality and requirements . Conduct Unit, System and Integration testing and fixing errors, with guidance if required. . Design small software components (Functionality, defect fixes or automation) that form part of a larger solution, in line with team objectives . Define Test scenarios and Test cases to ensure quality of the teams deliverables
Required skills: . University/college degree in computer science . Experience in C, C++ languages . Problem solving skills and adaptability . Have the ability to develop re-entrant and multi-task code . Being flexible to accommodate to changing priorities or needs . Team player
Desired skills: . Experience in programming portable, multiplatform applications . Experience in programming for high-availability systems . Experience in unit testing . Experience of working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) environment . Experience in Perl language . Experience in email security technologies . Proficient in using development tools (source control, static analysis, profilers, make, coverage analysis etc.) . Fluent English
