A site called Skype(dot)messenger-2013(dot)com was seen to be advertising downloads of Skype, and it resembled the real thing with the exception of a disclaimer at the bottom:

“Membership is for unlimited access to our site’s resources. We provide an organised website with links to third party freeware and software…”
To get your hands on this “list of links to third party websites”, you’d have have to fill in a registration form on a page called “Softwarepros(dot)com” and sign up to get your hands on the Skype link.

The Terms and Conditions mention signup fees (Skype is supposed to be free!) and a non-refundable $9.99 refund processing fee should you wish to cancel.
The site now leads to a parked GoDaddy page and has presumably been taken down. If you want a copy of Skype without having to sign up to unrelated websites, simply visit Skype(dot)com instead.
