Pharmacy spam for the “Zombie Apocalypse”

You probably have heard about the prank done to a television from Montana, USA in February. Their emergency channel got hacked (exact details about how the hacking occurred were not made public so far) and a message about zombies was communicated via voice and text:

Civil authorities in your area have reported that the bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living. Follow the messages onscreen that will be updated as information becomes available. Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies, as they are considered extremely dangerous.

Pretty funny, but if you think how many people believe everything what is being communicated on television, the consequences could have been pretty bad. No wonder that the affected TV station has requested FBI to investigate this.

Now, I received a spam that tries to sell a “Zombie Apocalypse Health Kit”.

Even though the spam references most probably the popular TV-Series, the connection to the above mentioned incident can’t be ignored:

Hey there,

With “The Walking Dead” finale last night (don’t worry, I won’t give up the ending if you haven’t seen it yet) and we noticed you talked about zombies on your site so we thought you’d want to see this. There is an infographic about how to create a zombie apocalypse first aid kit and we think its a great time to share it with your readers.

If you’re interested in posting it on your site all you need to do is copy and paste the text above the infographic. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions or comments and thanks for your time.

The website advertised is selling any kind of pharmaceuticals, so it is not the usual cheap Canadian Pharmacy like website.

The most interesting are the various suggestions what should such a health kit contain.

Most probably the authors of this spam campaign forgot the hacking incident with the zombies and I wouldn’t wonder if they receive a visit from the FBI to ask them if they have anything to do with the TV station hacking.

Very funny pictures, but a spam remains a spam and it will be blocked accordingly.
