The number of email frauds occurring in India is on high. Phishing scam refers to such fraudulent activities where the scammer sends false emails to the people claiming them to be officially valid.

Surprisingly I have come across few mails which are regarding the phishing attack on RBI – Reserve Bank of India. It seems that the scammers are now directly targeting the RBI. The Phishing mails contain a Html file, which on execution displays fake page. The page is a replica of RBI online banking.

It ask the user to put confidential information such as Corporate ID, User ID, Password Debit Card no, ATM PIN no. etc. If user puts the info and click on next, then all the information got transferred to scammer.
