Sarah Palin: joining the Circus?

From some of the comments I've been seeing, it would appear that some Americans consider Sarah Palin funnier than her namesake Michael Palin and his buddies from the Monty Python team.

As a mere Limey, I don't think I'll get into any discussions about her apparent confusion about Paul Revere's ride and the 2nd Amendment, or even the alleged attempts by her fans to rewrite history, or at least the part of it that the Wikipedia page on Revere addresses.

However, I have to take issue with criticisms of her tweet about the Statute of Liberty.

Clearly,  she was influenced by my punning title in SC Magazine's Cybercrime Corner the previous day, which merely goes to show that however tenuous her grasp of American history may or may not be, she knows where to find a cutting-edge security blog. ;-)
