Description: You will be responsible for creating new tools and programs that help to optimize, reorganize and automatize existing processes within the Avira Protection Labs. Your team consists of people that analyse malicious software samples and protect Avira customers from them on a daily base. They need your support in order to keep up with the ever-growing amount of those malicious files. You will create tools for them on request and work with them hand in hand on different technical challenges. Our challenges: Starting from day one you will be part of an international team whose objective is to keep Avira customers safe and free from malicious applications. Within this team you will analyse complex processes and improve them by suggesting new systems, programming new tools and implement new methods. Your tools will help the rest of the team to do their job in a more efficient way. Your usual work is based on requirements, but will also create smaller tools without any documentation based on what people tell you. Working on different projects excites you and you also enjoy working for different beneficiaries. You will exchange the knowledge and experience you gain to other team members on your team, you will also transfer it to new team members that might join the team afterwards.
Required skills: You have a high level of self-motivation and a great knowledge of the Windows and Unix operating systems. Furthermore, you are very good at developing fast, secure and stable source code in “C” / “C++” and “C#”. Also the script language “Python” and database systems such as SQL are something you excel at.
