The FAA Is Fine With You Using Most Electronics During Takeoffs and Landings

The Federal Aviation Administration announced today that the use of personal electronic devices can be utilized from gate-to-gate. The decision, which was pushed by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, allows most electronics (tablets, e-readers, and smartphones on airplane mode) to remain turned on during takeoffs and landings. That means your binge watching, music listening and Candy Crushing will no longer be interrupted as long as your device is in “airplane mode.”
