Description: We are looking to immediately fill the position of Virus Analyst (m/f) for Mac Malware Position summary: You will be responsible for transferring the excellent detection ability of the Avira products to also support Mac platforms in the future. This will help to protect Avira customers from all Mac related threats. Furthermore, you will help to keep the quality of the Avira products on a high level, therefore you will also support the quality assurance of our team. Performance objectives: * Starting from day one, you will be part of an international research team whose objective is to keep all systems of Avira customers safe and free from malicious applications. Combating the daily changing malware is a challenge for you. To ensure that you possess the necessary knowledge to fight these cybercriminals, you will receive training in the virus research laboratory in Tettnang, Germany. Here experienced analysts will improve your extensive knowledge on different operating systems even further. You will learn how to analyse different malware and also how to document your findings in detail. Additionally, you will learn the processes in our detection related quality assurance. * After successful completion of your training, you will start work in the Avira office in Germany where you will analyse Mac malware on a daily basis. Additionally, you will provide tools and processes to collect and prepare clean files of the Mac system for our quality assurance. Your enthusiasm will help you complete the duties assigned to you even faster and more precisely in the future. You will quickly identify new challenges and will be responsible for making the right decisions. * You will exchange your knowledge and experience with other members in your team and help transfer this onto new team members.
Required skills: Keys to hiring: You have a high level of self-motivation and an in-depth knowledge of the Mac and Unix operating systems as well as their network protocols. Windows is also a common OS for you. You work conscientiously and recognize problems already in advance and have the ability to make the right decisions even when working under pressure.
