Why you should upgrade from Windows XP

With the announcement that it will stop supporting Windows XP in April 2014, Microsoft has given a lot of people plenty to think about when it comes to finally leaving behind the 11 year old operating system.

But what are the reasons to upgrade to more recent versions of Windows? And are there any security concerns about staying on an old operating system? Is it time you left Windows XP behind?

With nearly 33% of Windows users still using Windows XP, it’s high time that users realise that when Microsoft pulls it’s support for the operating system, they will no longer receive updates that help protect them from newly released exploits and malware.
