Firefox 42 beta launches with Tracking Protection in Private Browsing

Hot on the heels of – which saw the end of a 14-year-old that sucked up memory for users – announced a new beta of the popular web browser.

Firefox 42 beta for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android is packed with new features, such as indicators which make it clear when a tab is playing audio (and a mute button to turn the sound off), as well as improvements to WebRTC, HTML5 and other developer features.

The most significant change to the browser, however, is an experimental mode with third-party protection.
