10 Chinese Men Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison for Hacking WoW Accounts

Last week, a total of ten men from China have been sentenced to around two years in prison each for hacking over 11,500 World of Warcraft (WoW) accounts and defrauding their owners.

According to Kotaku, one of them, named Chen, started buying access to compromised WoW accounts. He and his accomplices paid around $1 (0.73) for an account. They sold the gold and gear they found in them for around $3 (1.5) per account.
