Over the weekend, posts on Twitter warned that Bitcoin payment processor BitPay was hacked, and that the attackers stole around $80 million (59 million) worth of Bitcoins. The company has denied the allegations.
Discussions on the topic were started on both Reddit and BitcoinTalk. BitPay is very upset about the fake story. The company believes Twitter user @petertwynn (Peter Wynn) was the first to post the false information about BitPay being hacked.
