Quotium has released an interesting infographic which shows the evolution of hackers and their attacks since 1990 and until 2013.
The infographic shows that in 1996, hackers vandalized the CIAs website. Then, later in 1998, the website of the New York Times was defaced. The same year, hacktivists hit 300 websites, which at the time seemed a lot.
