France to Invest $1.35 Billion / €1 Billion in Cyber Defense

During the last cyber security forum in Lille, French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian revealed the governments intention to invest a total of $1.35 billion (1 billion) in cyber defense over the upcoming years.

According to Les Echos, the plan is to strengthen the Department of Defenses cyber operations.

Le Drian says that the number of IT security incidents has increased from 195, recorded in 2011, to 780 last year. These attacks are launched …
