Hackers caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage after launching an attack against the security camera systems of the Carmel Tunnels toll road in September.
According to the Associated Press, the cybercriminals used a Trojan to breach the computer systems. On the first day of the attack, the road was locked down for 20 minutes. On the next day, the cameras were disrupted once again, leading to a shutdown of the road for eight hours.
