Harbor Freight Tools Hacked, Payment Processing System Compromised

Last week, Harbor Freight Tools started notifying customers that some of their financial details might have been compromised after hackers breached the companys payment processing system.

According to Eric Smidt, the companys president, only customers who made transactions between May 6, 2013 and June 30, 2013 are impacted. In most cases, only track 2 data has been exposed. This includes card number, expiration date and the CVV.
