SMS Spam: “URGENT! If you took out a Bank Loan prior to 2007..”

This SMS spam is probably from the same bunch of scumbags who brought you this long-running ambulance chasing spam.

URGENT! If you took out a Bank Loan prior to 2007 then you are almost certainly entitled to £2300 in compensation. To claim text ‘YES’. Free to apply.

In this case the SMS came from +447591233963, but the spammers vary these all the time to avoid getting blocked.

Since they don’t honour TPS opt-outs, then they are probably not to be trusted.. whoever they are.

If you get one of these, forward the message to 7226 (“SPAM”) on T-Mobile, O2, Orange or Three. If you are a Vodafone customer, forward it to 87726 (“VSPAM”). Your carrier should be able to block the spammer’s number and with enough evidence may be able to take action against them.

SALLY MAUDE, SANDRA JAMES, LINDA STEWART, PAUL LIVESEY, ALEX JAMES, DAVID MAUDE,
    PAUL LIVESEY,

Please feel free to contact them and let them know how you feel, it must be soo frustrating getting these txts. Especially when you txt stop and all they do is record your number as being active then send you a txt from another number before selling your ‘active’ mobile number onto a third party who only sells it onto another party.

Look what the cat dragged in, look at all these many many different numbers they have to spam you from. And at 1.50p to send ‘stop’ to each txt its no wonder they are doing it. If you check their website out they have no contact number, their registered office is where their accountant is.

All of these companies do not give you a loan themselves they are actually a loan finding service for which you will pay a large fee. The APR’s are all well above normal lending rates and the loan company they find for you will impose all sorts of terms and conditions for any loan they provide.

The opt out text STOP they ask you to reply will cost you at least £1.50 plus your normal network charge for a SMS. In many situations they will stop sending you spam messages but some won’t, and they all sell your details to another subsidiary company so the spam texts keep coming. I’ve had over 50 sms texts from these online loan bastards and the best advice is to never respond or send replies as they will save your details as an active phone number to other companies. It’s very disturbing and technically because I did not opt out on my finance form being registered with TPS can not be enforced.

Don’t say anything, call nobody and never respond to their texts!
